THE ZOO

When we arrived at the Australian Zoo, we went to see the koala. The koalas were fluffy, chubby, vicious, white and grey. They were asleep in a little pine tree. The koalas  were leaving all this koala dung around.
Next,  we went  to see the  cheetah. It was black dotted and yellowy orange. It dashed quickly around on its hind legs around on a lead. Crocodiles have tough browny white black brown skin.

Lastly, we went to see the kangaroos. There were brown kangaroos. Some were big and some were small. The kangaroos were hopping around on their back legs.

Fireworks

My family and I shot off some fireworks last night.                                     When it was time to light the fireworks the first one was a firecracker. We threw it in the air.It went dead in the sky. It was hilarious because the firework was writing our names and not our dad’s name and  Dad said, “What about my name?”

GO NOAH

Luke Brosnan

Six weeks ago we started our production called GO NOAH. I was a neighbour, my brother Craig was also a neighbour. Jack was a fish. All my friends were crazy animals. It took a long time  but      we got there in the end. We had  fun, but the neighbours costumes looked funny and the angels kept dropping glitter on me. We had our last show last night. I was very excited at the production.

fish and chips

Wouldn’t you like fish and chips every Friday?
I think Fridays are a great idea to have fish and chips. My parents make me eat healthy food every other day of the week so for just one day eating fast food is great.
I want my Mum to have a night off from cooking tea for me and my family. She can just enjoy eating fish and chips with me.   The fish from fish and chips is healthy.
the fish is seafood and seafood is healthy.

I went to the Christian Youth Camp on the second day of school holiday, which was on the 8th of July. I stayed at a cabin with the other children that were there the last term. They were Dylan, Rowan, Brooklyn, Nathaniel and Kaziah.

We found a paddle boat on the river bank.  The paddle boat kept sinking when two people got in because the weight was pushing the water into the holes. And we decided to replaced it we had fun.

The other activity we had done was archery. We were given three arrows and every bulls eye you get  three tokens. Our group got 16 bulls eye. We won.

I had a good time at the camp, but I was happy to come home.

El Grego

On Friday El Grego came to school to do magic show in the hall. El Grego was teaching us about bullying. My favourite part was when El Grego pulled the African grey parrot out of the wooden bucket.
First,  El Grego pulled the parrot out of the bucket then he put the parrot, called Ruby, onto his shoulder. He tried to make it talk to him, but Ruby said, “No.”

Bullies Poem

Bullies are mean, stupid and unkind
We wish they weren't invented
Please God, make them kind to us
Or we will leave them behind.

The Flying Fox

I woke up one morning. When I got up, I was excited to go on the flying fox and, when we got to the flying fox, Kaea and Jakora and I were bouncing up and down, then we fell off and Jakora landed in a silver boat, but Kaea and I fell into the cold water. Mitchell yanked us out of the freezing cold water. We ended up with soft seaweed in our hard throats.

Holy Thursday Liturgy

Holy Thursday Liturgy

It was now the time of Passover. Jesus’ followers came to Him and said, “We will go and prepare everything for the Passover Feast. Where do you want to eat the feast?” Jesus answered, “Go into the city. A man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him. He will go into a house. Tell the owner of the house, “The teacher wants you to prepare the room for the Passover meal.” So the followers left and went into the city and prepared the Passover Feast.
In the evening, Jesus went to that house with the twelve. While they were eating, Jesus took the bread and gave God thanks and praise. He broke the bread, gave it to his disciples, and said: “Take this, all of you, and eat it; this is my body which will be given up for you.”

When supper was ended, he took the cup. Again he gave God thanks and praise, gave the cup to his disciples, and said: “Take this, all of you, and drink from it; this is the cup of my blood, the blood of the new and everlasting covenant. It will be shed for you and for all so that sins may be forgiven. Do this in memory of me.”

After some time, Jesus got up from the table and went to a different part of the room.  He put a large towel around him, making himself look like a servant.  After that, he poured water into a large bowl and began to wash the disciples' feet.  He then dried them with the towel that was wrapped around Him.

When Jesus had finished washing all of the disciples’ feet, he returned to the table.  "Do you understand what I have done for you?"  Jesus asked them.
Jesus is like a King - but even greater than a king, He's the King of Kings!  By washing the disciples’ feet, He was doing something that only a servant would do.
This is an example of how you should treat others.  You don't have to actually wash other people's feet, but do kind things to others and act like a servant for Jesus.

Wildfire

In March, Wildfire, the hot air balloon, came to our school. It was gigantic. It was Yellow, red and orange. The basket was made of cane.
I was excited because I got a ride in Wildfire. My friends and I climbed into the hot air balloon. It was warm. Underneath the burner, it felt like a burning  bonfire. It warmed me up and warmed my friends up too. I  was excited to get a ride in the hot air balloon with my friend. It just hovered over top of the ground.
It got me really excited to see such a big balloon. The balloon was awesome too. I  was happy just like Craig and Jack.

Room 4's Birthday Months

Live Simply Day

We had a live simply day so that we could stand in solidarity with the poor people in our world. To live simply means to live with no laptops, no technology, no shoes  and no pens.

The Waka Races.

Today, we walked to the riverbank to watch the Regatta waka races.
When we got to the riverbank, we sat down to watch the races. The water was sparkling and the crowd on the other side of the river was shading under tent tops. Some crews were getting into the waka to go up-river for their races.
Harrigan’s crew was racing next.  On your marks get set go. Everyone started to get excited, yelling, “Go, Harrigan.” Harrigan and his crew paddled really hard. We started to jump up and down, yelling even louder, “GO Harrigan!” They sped up and his  crew won. I was excited.  We won. so was Craig and Jack.
